IMPEDANCE MATCH DIP Switches
The IMPEDANCE MATCH DIP Switches are designed to allow various speaker loads to work
safely with variously rated ampliÀ ers. Speakers rated between 4 Ohms and 8 Ohms can be
matched with ampliÀ ers also rated from 4 to 8 Ohms.
To set IMPEDANCE MATCH DIP Switches:
Determine the average impedance of all connected speakers (listed on the speaker 1.
or in the owner’s manual).
Determine the minimum impedance rating of the ampliÀ er (listed on the ampliÀ er 2.
or in the owner’s manual).
Set the AMP DIP Switch to the minimum impedance rating listed on the 3.
ampliÀ er/receiver.
Set the SPKR DIP Switch to the average impedance of all connected speakers.4.
Note: Most speakers are 4 or 8 Ohms. In cases where 6 Ohms speakers are used, place
the SPKR DIP Switch in the 4 Ohm position.
Note: When using this setting,
maximum volume is reduced
to 10 steps.
